What is InformDorm?
InformDorm is a collection of niche communities or social networks. Each niche community is called a channel and is lead by an established experts, referred to as Channel Authorities, in the field that participate in and contribute to the Channel community.
Channel Authorities are also merchants. The ultimate purpose of InformDorm is to promote the selling of products by Channel Authorities by promoting the Channels themselves and building communities based around the topics related to the products being sold.
InformDorm takes care of all marketing and transaction processing for the Channel Authorities. InformDorm also provides extensive infrastructure, such a speaker bureau services for scheduling live events. Additionally, InformDorm continually engages the community to keep the members active and informed of new products and specials. By combining resources through promoting Channels as opposed to promoting individual merchants, efficiencies of scale can be achieved to the benefit of all.
Membership is free and members can join multiple channels. Profile pages, similar to Facebook are provided for members to use, as well as online forums that they can participate in. One defining service offered to members not available anywhere else is the ability of members to submit their own questions to the panel of authorities for a specific Channel and receive personal answers that are shared with all.
What is an InformDorm Channel?
An InformDorm Channel is a niche community and social network focused around a specific topic. Each Channel is lead by experts, called Channel Authorities, in the field that participate regularly in the Channel community and provide free items of value.
What is a Channel Authority?
A Channel Authority is an established expert in the field related to the InformDorm Channel they participate in. All Channel Authorities are expected to participate regularly in the Channel Community and provide ongoing value.
What does 10 minutes per day participation mean?
This is just a rough estimate meant as an average. If a day or two is skipped, no harm done. The main point is that Channel Authorities participate in and give to the community on a regular basis.
What is involved in participation?
Each channel allows registered community members to submit questions to the panel of Channel Authorities to be answered by these experts. Participation will include responding to such questions.
Participation may also include joining in discussions on the community forum. Posting fresh articles through blog posts is participation, as is providing quotes of the day on a regular basis.
What are free giveaways of value?
Free giveaways can include anything of value related to the niche topic for that channel. These may be white papers or ebooks, streaming or downloadable videos, downloadable audio products, anything that can be given away at no or little cost, but that does have value.
Free giveaways are an integral part of the marketing strategy for InformDorm. Channel Authorities will give permission to InformDorm to use these free giveaways as is deemed necessary to promote the channel. The free giveaways also provide ongoing value to keep community members involved.
