InformDorm also provides extensive infrastructure, such a speaker bureau services for scheduling live events. Additionally, InformDorm continually engages the community to keep the members active and informed of new products and specials. By combining resources through promoting Channels as opposed to promoting individual merchants, efficiencies of scale can be achieved to the benefit of all. Membership is free and members can join multiple channels. Profile pages, similar to Facebook are provided for members to use, as well as online forums that they can participate in. One defining service offered to members not available anywhere else is the ability of members to submit their own questions to the panel of authorities for a specific Channel and receive personal answers that are shared with all. Participation may also include joining in discussions on the community forum. Posting fresh articles through blog posts is participation, as is providing quotes of the day on a regular basis.
